One pot per indoor unit. Each pot covers about one room, so a pot in the lounge does nothing for the bedrooms. Most homes have four heads, so we have set the quantity to 4, which is $96 instead of $120. Change it below if you need fewer.

If your aircon smells musty when it kicks on, that smell is coming from inside the unit

The filter you pull out and rinse is not where the problem lives. Mould and bacteria grow past it, on the coils and in the drain tray, in the dark and the damp. That is why the smell comes back a week after you have cleaned it. And every time the unit runs, that air goes into the room your family is sitting in.

This is a gel pot that sits behind the filter and treats that air continuously. No power, no tools, no tradie, no spray. Cut the corner, put it in, close the unit. It takes about thirty seconds.

What it does

  • Reduces up to 99% of airborne mould and bacteria as the gel evaporates through the unit
  • Clears the musty smell instead of covering it, because it works on what causes it
  • Keeps working on every cycle for 10 to 12 weeks once opened
  • Reduces the airborne allergens behind hay fever, blocked noses and morning coughing

Safe in a house with kids and pets

  • Certified food safe, non-allergenic, safe to breathe and safe to touch
  • Made from essential oils, purified water and natural binding agents, with no petroleum-based ingredients and no harsh chemicals
  • Pet and plant friendly
  • Australian made

One pot covers one indoor unit

Each pot is rated to 40 to 50m², roughly one room, at up to 400 litres of air a second. It is sized for the unit, not for the house. If you have four split systems and you buy one pot, the other three rooms carry on exactly as they were.

Four pots is $96 instead of $120. One per head, the whole house covered for a full 10 to 12 weeks, and shipping is the same flat rate whether you order one or ten.

How to fit it

  1. Cut across the sealed nipple at the end of the packet
  2. Open the front of the unit and take the filter out, rinsing it if it needs it
  3. Sit the gel pot behind the filter
  4. Put the filter back and close the unit

Renting?

You do not need the agent's permission to put a gel pot behind your own filter. It leaves no marks and there is nothing to undo when you move out.

What it will not do

It will not clean a unit that is already filthy. If you open yours and the coils are caked, clean it properly first, then use the gel to keep it that way. The gel is maintenance, not a rescue.

Independently tested

The actives are validated by Eurofins, with broad spectrum efficacy across species including Aspergillus Niger (mould), Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus Aureus. The full product data sheet and safety data sheet are linked below this listing.

Why the smell keeps coming back

Why your aircon smells musty or like mould explains what is growing on the coils, and the health risks of mould and bacteria in your air conditioner covers why it is worth staying on top of.

A diffuser holds the result of a clean rather than replacing one, so if the unit has not been cleaned yet, start with an aircon cleaning kit and use this to keep it that way.

If you can smell it, they are breathing it

That musty smell when the aircon kicks on is mould growing past the filter, on the coils and in the drain tray. A gel pot sits behind the filter and reduces it continuously, for 10 to 12 weeks, with no power, no tools and no tradie. Fitting it takes about thirty seconds.

What you are actually buying

  • Reduces up to 99% of airborne mould and bacteria. The actives are validated by Eurofins, tested against species including Aspergillus Niger, E. coli and Staphylococcus Aureus.
  • Safe in a house with kids and pets. Certified food safe, non-allergenic, safe to breathe and safe to touch. Made in Australia from essential oils, purified water and natural binding agents, with no petroleum-based ingredients.
  • Clears the smell instead of covering it, because it works on what causes it rather than perfuming over the top.
  • One pot covers 40 to 50m², about one room. It is sized for the unit, not the house, so you want one per indoor head.
